Recently I preached a message which I titled living in full color. Basically it was my testimony of growing up in a Christian home and eventually finding myself veering away from the Christian lifestyle because of disappointment and disillusionment and then finding my way back to God as he gently and lovingly opened my eyes to his goodness and his plan for my life.

When I decided to follow him no matter what as a result of people’s prayers I found that the lights came on. Suddenly I was aware of my sin and not shamed by it but instead overwhelmed by Gods goodness to bring me to a place of redemption and ultimately to restore my hope for life! Living in FULL color to me as I explained is being fully aware of the darkness in this world but yet not overcome by it. God wants us to live on a higher level and to see things from his perspective. Living with this eternal perspective gives us a sense of peace and joy that supersedes our understanding. God wants to get you to a place of peace and joy where you almost don’t even understand why you are so peaceful and happy but you know God is good and that supersedes any negative situation, circumstance or temporary feeling.

I talked about the importance of giving God first place in your life by giving him your daily time. If we will choose to do this for our own personal lives it’s amazing what God will begin to show us. Now more than ever we need an enlightenment to Gods word to combat the darkness and destruction that exists in our word today and to show Gods peace and love to those who need it most. Let’s not take what we have been given for granted but CHOOSE to walk in the light of his LOVE and GOODNESS in these dark times.
