Release Your Past & Embrace Your Future
1 Corinthians 1:30 “God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.”
Some things that contribute to our self images are deeply rooted in our past experiences and relationships. They hinder the ability to really know and remember who we really are and thwart our efforts to give ourselves fully to the people and the relationships that God has ordained for our good.
Your past does not define you! It may be a reality and a painful memory, but it can be healed and reconciled. Looking back slows you down.

He is a symbol of everyone who struggles with relationships and who is headed for trouble in the future because of painful relationships of the past.
He was shamed because of the conception of his birth.. his dad was with a prostitute and then married and had all of his other children in honor.
Some of the problems you have faced in your life my be no fault of your own; they may have nothing to do with you and everything to do with the fact that you remind people of someone or something.
Anytime you are caught in a situation you did not create and cannot escape, you have choices to make.
The biggest battle Jep faced was not on the battle field, it was inside of him. Jep’s fatal flaw was to deal with his hurt.
He longed for relationships with his brothers.
Many people repeatedly sabotage relationships they desperately long for because they have suppressed the pain of past relationships. Make a priority of getting your heart healed.
Psalm 34:18:The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
If you refuse to deal with lingering pain from your past, you will endanger your personal destiny and your future interactions with others.
If you will learn to move pass your past mistakes, you will have a life of joy, strength and impact.
No matter what you have endured in your past, God has good plans for you, plans that are well within your reach if you choose to leave your past and all of its pain behind you.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
When you go where God leads you doors open! Blessings come.
God’s purpose and where he leads you may not be impressive to you or other people, but that is where the blessing lies.
God knows who you need in your life and who will help you to fulfill His plan for your life. Stop trying to make relationships work and allow God to work.
Don’t look beyond the blessings in your life. Stop ignoring the amazing people and places right in front of you in an effort to find something you will probably never get from the people who have hurt you all of your lives.
Don’t overlook the good things that God is doing in your life because you are too busy longing for or chasing relationships or experiences that are not in your best interest.
Live and thrive among the people God gives you, in the place God has placed you.
